NEURO TALK: Neurofeedback AI: An Approach Based on Explainable Artificial Intelligence

Dr hab. Jacek Rogala is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Artes Liberales at the University of Warsaw and a co-founder of the Center for Systemic Risk Research. He earned his PhD at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences, and obtained his habilitation at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. His research focuses on cognitive and behavioral neurobiology, exploring the relationships between brain activity and behavior. He is particularly interested in the practical application of neuroimaging methods, including neurofeedback, for the detection and treatment of brain activity disorders

This study presents the full results of the project titled „EEGDigiTrack Biofeedback AI – an innovative device for personalized neurotherapy with scientifically proven effectiveness” implemented under the Regional Operational Program of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship for 2014-2020, Priority Axis: I Utilization of research and development activities in the economy, Measure under Priority Axis ROP WM 2014-2020: 1.2 Research and development activities of enterprises.

INDUSTRIAL TALK: Focus Up! How to Save Your Idea from Crashing and Burning

I graduated from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology, where I later defended my PhD thesis. After completing my studies, I ran my own software development business for several years before co-founding Neuro Device, where I am currently responsible for technology.

My main area of interest has always been medical imaging, particularly magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which is now a fundamental tool in neuroimaging. Throughout my education and professional career, I have consistently focused on understanding brain function by „observing” it through various available methods.

In this presentation, drawing from my own experiences, I would like to discuss the importance of staying focused on the core objective of a project, even when it sometimes seems to blur.
